Trader Joe’s Mini Shrimp Bao

First up is the new Trader Joe’s Mini Shrimp Bao! This new item makes it easy to enjoy shrimp bao on a weeknight, easy! Here’s how Trader Joe’s describes this new item:

“Of all the various carbs and starches that the world’s cuisines have produced, we have to admit that we have a true soft spot for the bao bun—and for its soft and pillowy texture, in particular. That, combined with its mild, delicately savory, and just a touch sweet flavor, makes the bao bun an especially compelling conveyance for hearty proteins and aromatic sauces, as Trader Joe’s Mini Shrimp Bao rather deliciously demonstrate. Made for us by an expert supplier in Vietnam, each box contains eight miniature, clamshell-style Bao laden with a well-seasoned shrimp patty, as well as a sweet and sticky lemongrass, lime, and chili sauce for dipping.

Excellent as an appetizer, hors d’oeuvre, or side dish, Trader Joe’s Mini Shrimp Bao offer a marvelous medley of complementary flavors and textures in every bite. Individually, each Bao takes less than a minute to microwave, and when prepped together, only a few minutes in the steamer before they’re tender, tasty, and ready to serve.
