This Week’s Featured Snack:
Trader Joe’s Milk Chocolate Covered Honeycomb Candy
If you’ve ever had honeycomb candy, you know that it’s a classic treat made of sugar, honey, and baking soda (it’s sometimes called “sponge candy” or “cinder candy”). You may also know how expensive this candy typically is, which is why were so excited to see this new snack from Trader Joe’s!
Our local Trader Joe’s is selling each 4.6oz bag of Milk Chocolate Covered Honeycomb Candy for just $3.99, so we picked some up on our recent trip and put it to the test.
This candy is similar in texture to a Butterfinger candy bar, with its smooth chocolatey coating and chewy-crunchy interior. The honey flavor is light and pleasant, without being in your face.
Trader Joe’s recommends eating these candies on their own or with a cup of tea. We didn’t try them with the tea, but can certainly confirm these are very easy and delicious to eat on their own!
